Which current Snap Ships kits are supported by the game?
The Falx/Wasp Battle Set, Lance, Locust, Sabre, and Scarab kits are currently supported with card packs. You will get the Sabre and Scarab parts as well as their associated cards in the Starter Box. There are plans to support other kits with future releases.

How many people can play?
The Starter Box supports 1v1 play or 1 vs AI. By adding additional ships and stands, you can expand the game up to 4v4 or 4 vs 4 AI . In theory, you could even go beyond that, but it’s the largest recommended size.

How big a play area do I need for the game?
The standard play area for Snap Ships Tactics is 3x3 feet (~90x90cm). For larger games with more than 6-8 total ships in play, you could expand to a 4x4’ table or 3x6’.

Can I build my own pledge?
Yes, if you back a Starter Box, nearly every other item on the page can be added à la carte as an add-on.

No, they are currently exclusive to the Starter Box.

Can I play against multiple AI ships?
Yes! You can run as many AI opponents as you have components for. In fact, 2 AI ships of the same type (example: 2 Scarab Interceptors) can share a single AI deck.

Will the game support more Snap Ships besides the ones listed on the page?
Eventually, yes, we plan to add more Snap Ship kits (and their unique parts) to the system. This initial release includes 100+ cards, and we want to ensure a balanced, foundational core set before expanding too quickly. So for now, just the ships on the page are supported.

Yes you will. You will also be sent a survey through BackerKit

Yes you will. The Starter Box Add-On will be identical in contents to the Starter Pledge itself.

Do I need a Playmat to play? Is there one in the Starter Box?
No and no. Tactics can be played on any flat surface that you can mark off, the suggested minimum size is 3’x3’. The Playmat is mainly for aesthetics (and boundaries), but you can play without one, make your own, use a mat from another game, or purchase one of our custom mats with original artwork.

For original Kickstarter Backers, pledge level shipping estimates are posted on the project. Note: purchasing additional add-ons will affect your shipping costs. For Pre-Order backers, we will do our best to match the Kickstarter pricing but will adjust according to the most up to date shipping pricing we have at the time shipping is charged. In both cases note that the Deluxe PlayMat add-on ships separately and has a separate shipping cost and chart (see the item description for details).

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
