It's been a while since our last transmission as things are very quiet on the Kickstarter-specific front. As far as we know, everything has long ago been delivered and folks are happily battling it out with their games and kits! Since this list is going to be a bit quiet until we announce something new, I'd like to invite you to join our main newsletter list:
That newsletter will be the main vehicle for news, discounts, and information on upcoming products. In fact, a special Black Friday deal announcement is going out today. Since I dislike sending duplicate information, I'll just briefly summarize:
Our BLACK FRIDAY discount is live now on the Snap Ships Tactics Store! Now is the time to order those accessories so you can play larger battles over the holidays.
The store now serves Australia and NewZealand and we are working on expanding to the UK and EU (we'll announce in the newsletter when that happens).
We'll be at PAX UNPLUGGED in a little over a week giving in-booth demos and events and selling Tactics games and accessories. Come by Booth #3700 and say hello!

Sunday, September 17th is the deadline to get your order in. Once we lock the orders, mats will go back out of stock. Will we print again? No guarantees. Playmats are available to ship worldwide.

And on that note, we DO have the Scout Ships Pack back in stock in the USA and Canada. In case you missed it on the Kickstarter, the pack adds the speedy Lance and stealthy Locust and all their associated parts to the game. The Locust's CL-23 Rail Gun is a deadly sniping option every Komplex arsenal wants access to as it rolls 3 dice with 2 damage per hit!
We're seeing fans starting up communities at their local game stores. Backers with large collections are running demos at their favorite shops to get folks interested in the game. Might as well read this brief update while you're waiting for Starfield!
Playmats are Available for a Limited Time
We heard from many folks at GenCon that they regretted not adding a playmat to their pledge. In response, we put together a quick reprint. Here's how it will work: from now until September 17th we will take orders for playmats on our webstore. On Sept 17th we'll prep the print run and deliver the mats 2-3 weeks after we close up the orders.
Pricing is the same as the Kickstarter, but shipping has gone up, though shipping is available worldwide. But please note, the shipping quoted is DAP - outside the USA you may need to pay duties when your playmat arrives! So please factor that in.
These mats are gorgeous, with rich colors, a cloth surface, and rubber backing. Hopefully you have been able to see them in person at one of our conventions!
Will we print these again? Maybe... It's a lot of manual work to get a run together, so no guarantees.

Fulfillment appears to be... finished? About 2000 packages have gone out and 99% are delivered at this point. If you are missing your order or have any issues of any kind, then [email protected] is the place for assistance. The warehouses have been run down to the bare minimums (outside of Starter Boxes - more on that below).
With the Kickstarter essentially complete, we've really enjoyed hearing from folks who have their games and have already played battles. If you HAVE played a game then PLEASE snap some awesome pics 📸 and post them on social media! The best thing you can do for the game right now is to play it, share it, and recruit friends to your local squadron! Also, head on over to BoardGameGeek to rate the game or write a review if you have a few moments.

Ship and Squad Builder
Some exciting news - Hukka from the Snap Ships Discord has been coding a web based Tactics ships and squad builder! His site is still in development, but you can already build playable units for Tactics from the current card pool, store your lists for future reference, and summon preset ships. There are lots of other awesome features - overall, just an incredible job by Hukka and - we salute you! 🫡
WOW to GenCon. After YEARS of selling kits and promising a game... we finally had a game to show and sell! Discord community members helped run demos in Lucas Oil Stadium; @FlightSuitGMST even brought his mega carrier to display! On the booth side of things we sold out of everything we brought by Sunday - and we brought a lot! The best part was chatting with all the happy Kickstarter backers (and one angry one... but he left happy too). Thanks again for your support and belief in us - the best is yet to come!
Retail News
Snap Ships Tactics is headed into retail in the USA, Canada, and Europe. In North America you should be seeing Starter Boxes pop up in your local FLGs. And if not, ask for it! We want to encourage groups of players to develop local store communities. In addition, the game will launch on Amazon.com on September 15th, and around that time in Europe. Lastly, if you're a retailer you can email us at [email protected]to get access to our retail store. The game is also headed into distribution through Flat River Group, ACD, PHD, Alliance, GTS, Universal, and Blackfire.

A whirlwind of activity with worldwide fulfillment and GenCon all hitting at the same time. First, fulfillment:
USA
Fulfillment is moving along, although taking a bit longer than anticipated. As of now tracking has been sent to 63% of the orders. The warehouse is working through the queue and I am hopeful that all tracking numbers will be out by the end of next weekat the latest. Tactics is a complex Kickstarter with an average of 10 items per parcel, so they have to move at a good but deliberate pace to minimize errors. We have had many delivery confirmations in the US so far. IMPORTANT: you will get your tracking email from [email protected] - keep an eye on your spam folder!
CANADA
75% fulfilled, with many delivery confirmations. All remaining parcels will be in the mail this week.
UK/EU
Finished - 75% of parcels delivered, 25% enroute.
AUS
Finished - all parcels out.
ASIA
Underway. Apologies; I don't have firm numbers.
I understand it can be disheartening to see folks get their packages when you haven't received your tracking yet. But the raw physical mechanics of packaging all these complicated orders means they just take time. Don't worry, you're in the queue, and the warehouse is working every day to process orders. Snap Ships Tactics will be on your tabletop very soon!
Also please note that we will do our best to answer questions and respond to comments over the next 4 days but the whole team is at GenCon right now so our replies may be slightly delayed.
GENCON IS HUGE!
I'm hearing rumors of 70k+ people estimated to attend the con, and the view from the halls seems to support that. This place is PACKED. You can't even move through some aisles. We are hunkered down in Booth1940 selling Starter Boxes and accessories until we run out. Please stop by and say hi! We are also running demos in LucasOilStadium - a pretty epic event site with plenty of room for intense space combat.
